Project Overview
TronixV successfully developed a high-security smart manhole cover monitoring system, designed for critical infrastructure scenarios requiring stability, confidentiality, and full domestic design. The system uses telephone lines for both communication and power supply, addressing unique technical and operational challenges.
Challenges & Solutions
- Structural design: Ensured waterproofing, anti-freezing, and anti-condensation performance; integrated multiple sensors (gas, temperature, humidity, vibration) for comprehensive monitoring.
- Mechanical design: Developed dedicated lock/unlock devices and emergency mechanical release mechanisms.
- Embedded hardware/software: Implemented power extraction and DTMF communication over telephone lines for reliable performance.
- Central management system: Designed backend equipment to support large-scale deployment and integration with existing secure systems.
Key Highlights
- One telephone line for 10 devices, significantly reducing wiring costs.
- Centralized control supporting up to 2,560 manhole covers, enabling large-scale monitoring and data management.
- Seamless integration with domestic secure IT systems, ensuring compliance in high-security environments.
Outcomes
The project passed customer acceptance and entered mass production. Deployment of the system has greatly improved the efficiency and safety of manhole management, reducing risks such as theft, damage, and gas leakage. This success further enhanced TronixV’s reputation in the smart infrastructure sector and positioned the company for future large-scale projects.
